The Weekend Of August 16th In Springfield
Five for the Weekend
- Phlock at the Rock
Head to Rock Lane Resort on Table Rock Lake for Phlock at the Rock this weekend. The two-day outdoor festival is all about relaxing and having a good time! Enjoy scavenger hunts, pontoon rides, a crazy-hat contest and live entertainment including Cruise Control on Friday and Conch Republic on Saturday. The best part is that proceeds benefit a great cause: The Alzheimer’s Association.
- Mimosa Sunday at RSVPaint
It’s Mimosa Sunday at RSVPaint, so grab your friends, and learn to paint while sipping on a mimosa or two. All you have to do is bring the champagne, and RSVPaint will have the orange juice on ice. The coolest part is you’ll leave with a sweet 16-by-20 painting. Limited seats are available, so call today to make reservations.
- Free Spaghetti Day
This Saturday is Free Spaghetti Day at Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano in Springfield. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., every dine-in guest gets a complimentary spaghetti marinara entree served with fresh baked bread! Don’t worry; the full menu is also available at regular price, just in case you have a craving for dessert.
- Pancakes in the Park
Dickerson Park Zoo invites you to hang out with your kids’ favorite animals and enjoy pancakes and sausage prepared by Village Inn at Pancakes in the Park this Saturday. Don't forget, if you arrive at the park before 9 a.m., you get the early-bird discount.
- Back to-school Carnival
Pack up the kids, and make your way to Dan Kinney Family Center this Friday evening for a back-to–school Carnival. The kids can enjoy arts and crafts, concessions, carnival games, a cake walk and more. This sounds like a great way to kick off the school year.
