YOUR OZARKS FALL BUCKET LIST
This season's outdoor bucket list is all about the southwest Missouri activities that put you in that pumpkin spice mood.
Get Your Festival On
This time of year, towns across the Ozarks jump onto the fall festivals bandwagon, celebrating fall color, the season’s harvest or small town history. There’s a little something for everyone out there. See this year's fall festivals roundup here to find the best fest for you.
Spy Fiery Fall Color
It’s too early to find changing leaves this month, but as the season progresses we’ll see blazing fall color in southwest Missouri. Why not go for a drive to take it all in? We recommend the Glade Top Trail near Ava. The scenic drive through Mark Twain National Forest is incredible in the fall, and every October it’s the site for the Flaming Fall Revue festival. Head down to Branson and take our advice on some creative ways to see fall color from unique vantage points. Or, if you're feeling a little more adventurous, try one of these colorful hikes.
Get Lost in a Corn Maze
The smell of dry corn stalks with the crunching of fallen leaves underfoot takes us right back to childhood. Visit a local corn maze and tap into a little nostalgia. Most sites also have games, snacks, hayrides and more.
Pick a Perfect Pumpkin
Scouring a pumpkin patch for the perfect gourd is a quintessential fall experience. Ideal local patches can be found at Rutledge Wilson Farm Park’s Harvest Fest, Fassnight Creek Farm and Pickin Patch Farm.
